This beautiful village is located in the foothills of the Magaliesberg, 35 km from Pretoria. Broederstroom was founded in 1903 with the opening of a trading post in the area by the Jallapor family. Near Broederstroom one finds the Paladingwe hiking trails, the Margaret Roberts Herbal Centre, and the spectacular bronze sculpture gallery of acclaimed artists Dietmar Weinen. Here one can also enjoy the thrills of hot air ballooning and participate in an unequalled cultural experience at the Lesedi Cultural Village, an authentic, living cultural attraction.
