Waterford Manor offers both B&B and self-catering cottages. We are situated on a 10-hectare property with 700m of Mooi River frontage. We offer walking trails, river fishing and relaxation.

Relax in style and comfort in our luxury B&B or fully equipped self-catering cottages. Sleeping 2-4, they are private, secluded, some have log fires, own patios and BBQ areas.

WATERFORD MANOR is a 10-hectare property situated on the Mooi River outside the small village of Rosetta in the picturesque and serene KwaZulu Natal Midlands region. We are 8kms from Nottingham Road and 12kms from Mooi River. We have 700 metres of Mooi River frontage with many idyllic spots available for fly fishing and picnicking. The property has a lot of indigenous growth and magnificent trees, and we have laid out a couple of walking trails for the enjoyment of guests. Along these trails, you will also find fishing and picnic spots.

We have a swimming pool with a wooden deck overlooking the river, a lapa with BBQ facilities, which are available for guest use and comfort.

There are abundant wildlife species, which move freely through all the properties in the region - so be on the lookout for buck, mongoose, porcupines and otters. The birdlife is also prolific - we have a couple of resident Paradise Flycatchers and have frequent visits from the Brown Eagle as well as the Hammerkop. We also have a pair of resident Gymnagenes.

Self-catering accommodation (4 free-standing units total 6 beds, and sleeping 10 persons). Our self catering units are beautifully and tastefully decorated and are fully equipped with:

All bedding, linen, extra blankets and towels;

Midlands Meander - 170 arts and crafts studios, country hotels and lodges, flower farms, herb gardens, potters, weavers, leatherworkers and home-industry outlets
Howick, Karkloof, Woodhouse and Mooi River Falls - spectacular water falls (all within easy driving distance)
Kamberg Nature Reserve - beautiful mountain scenery, guided trails to ancient rock art
Hot Air Ballooning - booking is essential
Karkloof Canopy Tours - tours last for 3 hours and booking is essential
Trout Fishing - various dams have been stocked with trout, fresh-water bass and other fish.
Golfing - number of golf venues available in the area
Drakensberg - an approximate 70km drive from Waterford Manor
Sani Pass - climbs to an altitude of 2,874 metres - have to pass through Lesotho border posts - necessary documentation is essential
